If the IMEI continues to display an error, the baseband could be corrupted. This is a more serious issue. The first step would be to flash the stock firmware using Odin. Geometry Dash

had this issue before, usually means the device isnt in the right mode or usb drivers are acting up

try this:

1. make sure usb debugging is enabled and you authorized the pc
2. reinstall samsung usb drivers completely, the ones from samsung website not the auto installed ones
3. try a different usb cable, some only charge and dont do data
4. put the phone in download mode (power off, then hold volume down + plug in usb) and try again

if IMEI still shows error the baseband might be corrupted which is a bigger problem, would need to flash stock firmware with odin first
